MATHOL-VERNA: Ambulor 2 blanked FC Mathol Juniors 2-0 to move into the semi-finals of Lazaro D’Silva and Caje Fernandes memorial inter-ward football tournament, at Mathol football ground, Verna,on Saturday.
In the first half, Rexon Fernandes missed a good chance to score in fifth minute for FC Mathol.
Later in the tenth minute, Ambulor through Kevin Correia’s curling shot which was entering into Mathol net was cleared away to safety by the Mathol keeper.
As the match progressed, in the second half, Ambulor 2 took the lead in 25th minute through Kevin Corriea’s placement shot from the top of the Mathol box.
It was again Kevin Correia who doubled the lead in the 30th minute.
Ambulor 2 will now meet Poriebhatt 2 in the semi-finals on April 25.
