Merces locals have alleged illegal land filling in their
area. This is after they suspected the same was being carried on for illegal
plot conversion. After their efforts turned futile in getting the work stopped
by the police, the locals have now approached the local Panchayat demanding to
intervene in the matter. Meanwhile the ward member of the area Lavu Hoble has
denied his involvement in the alleged activity while demanding a government
inquiry in the same.
