NUVEM: Quepem Veterans defeated Joe Cookies Loutolim 3-2 to move into the semi-finals of the Nuvem Veterans inter-village football tournament, organised by Nuvem Veterans, played at Nuvem church ground, on Wednesday.
Arthur Mascarenhas opened the scoreline for Quepem in the 5th minute. Rosario Carvalho scored a brace for Quepem in the 12th and 20th minutes.
In the second half Joe Cookies netted two quick goals through Cajetan Fernandes and Melvin Fernandes in the 46th and 49th minutes respectively.
Quepem will meet Fatorda Veterans in the semi-final on October 11.
