VASCO: The Indian Navy on Thursday rescued an ill fisherman from the Arabian Sea in an advanced light helicopter (ALH) of INAS 323 Squadron, INS Hansa, here.
According to Naval sources, information regarding a fisherman experiencing acute chest pain while fishing about 50km southwest of Goa was received around 12.45 pm. The fisherman was airlifted by an ALH in the presence of a naval medical officer and brought to INS Hansa by 2.20 pm.

Later, he was shifted to Sub-District Hospital at Chicalim for further treatment and is reported to be stable.
