NAGOA-VERNA: Churchill Brothers SC thumped FC Goa 5-1 in the U-15 Hero India Youth League organised by AIFF, at Utorda ground, on Monday.
Churchill Brothers dominated the first half.
It was Churchill’s striker Aditya Hemant Salgaocar who netted the first goal of the match with a snap shot in the ninth minute.
Two minutes later, Mevan Shawn Dias doubled the lead for Churchill.
Later, in the 35th minute, Arnold Antonio Oliviera of Churchill made it 3-0. A minute later, Churchill further inflated the lead through Mevan S Dias. As the match progressed in the 86th minute, Arnold A Oliveira netted to make it 5-0.
Davis Fernandes pulled a goal back in the 90+5 minute for FC Goa.
At Dempo SC academy ground, Dempo Sports Club showed their supremacy over Sporting Clube de Goa with a 6-0 win.
Necio Fernandes scored a brace while Shreyash Naik, Shivam Pandey, Atmaram Jadhav and Siaron Albuquerque also got on the score sheet for the winners.
