MARGAO: The Carmona Panchayat has written to the Minister of Civil Supplies requesting to change the needy Above Poverty Line (APL) card holders to Below Poverty Line (BPL) as a measure for interim relief to deserving people.

Carmona Panchayat in the letter sent to Civil Supplies Minister has urged to take necessary steps to change the status of various deserving APL card holders to BPL card as an interim relief of free rice, wheat to deserving people.
Sarpanch Allwyn Geroge said, “There are many deserving cases in the village which are very poor and needy but have cards as APL which denies them benefit of the PM Scheme.”
