Seen in the picture are metal stones, over uneven surface of road along Talaulim-Kasawada route in Ponda. The situation proves dangerous for the lives of innocent motorists, in particular, the pillion riders. During night time the situation tends to be more serious and there is every possibility of two-wheelers skidding off the road resulting in a mishap, sooner or later. The concerned competent authorities should take a note of this important matter and arrange removal of metal stones and mud existing over the defective portion of road at the earliest. The uneven surface must be levelled uniformly so that travellers do not face any risk during their journey. As on Friday December 07 at 8.00 am, situation in this regard was found to be unchanged. Nevertheless, let us hope that the concerned authorities would initiate prompt action in this sensitive matter in public interest. No doubt, motorists must be assured safety at all costs.
