ASSOLDA-PARODA: Curtorim Gymkhana downed Dicarpale SC 3-1 to move into the final of the 11th St Anthony Festival Cup organised by St Anthony Sports Club, Assolda, at Assolda Panchayat ground, on Wednesday.
Curtorim started the match on forefront moves and opened the score-line in the 29th minute through Joybert Almeida’s arrow bound shot but the joy was short-lived as Agnelo Colaco equalised for Dicarpale in the 37th minute.
Curtorim doubled the lead through Nevile Fernandes’ snap shot in the 55th minute.
As the match progressed in the 70th minute, Curtorim’s goal-scoring machine Milagres Fernandes’ curling shot made it 3-1 in the 70th minute.
Curtorim Gymkhana will now meet the winner of St Anthony SC, Assolda and Mandopa Sporting Club in the final on June 30.
