MARGAO: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has lashed out at the decision to allow a ‘two hour pass’ to senior citizens, pregnant women and differently-abled stating that a misfit government was only doing ‘time pass’ during the time of crisis.
AAP has criticised the system of hoarding of essential supplies by MLAs and BJP leaders and selective distribution of the same through their supporters.

AAP leader Siddharth Karapurkar said that shops have been opened by MLAs at their offices or residences by throwing the normal public distribution system off gear.
Alleging discrimination by the government, Karapurkar said that it is a blot on the government — the most incapable in the whole country.
“Internal contradictions in the government are visible. More than one minister is talking incoherently. It appears that the CM’s daily briefings are meant only for media. The reality when it comes to reaching out to the public is different,” Karapurkar said claiming that AAPs online survey had revealed that 93% people who responded had not received any essentials.
He rubbished the two hour pass as a joke on senior citizens, pregnant women and disabled like him who are nursing injuries as it involved online registration which only few could do.
“Most of the senior citizens may not even have computers. Why are you complicating the work? Do away with this. Let local volunteers take over. Everything will be smooth,” Karapurkar said.
