The Post Graduate Department of Commerce of Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim
organised ‘Passonic 2020’, a one-day inter-collegiate event, at the College
campus. Passonic 2020 is a novel initiative that provides the post graduate
students of Commerce a platform to form, conform and transform their classroom
learning and theoretical knowledge to gain insights into practical business
applications.
The Chief Guest for
the Inaugural ceremony was Sonam Daivjna, Chartered Accountant in the firm,
Ganesh Daivjna and Co. and Director at SDS Accosphere Advisors Private Limited
Margao. In her address, she stated that participation in such events helps the students
to nurture their skills and increase their knowledge. She advised the students
to acquire knowledge on the latest technology so as to be competitive in the
industry.
The event witnessed
participation of six colleges from Goa. A total of nine sub-events, namely Mr
and Ms Passonic 2020, Word Sword, Avengers Assemble, Mergenture, Minute of
Fame, Cam-Crunch, Biz Quizitive, Seize The Job and Corporate Roadies were held.

Entrepreneur at Cheree Tree Concepts, was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory
Function.
Government
College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem won the overall Winner’s trophy,
while St Xavier’s College, Mapusa emerged as the Runners Up. Sainath Raut and
Mehveen Shaikh from Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim were crowned
as Mr and Ms Passonic 2020 respectively.
