PANJIM: Swami Vivekananda College, Borim, trounced Goa Dental College, Bambolim, 6-0 in the Goa University’s inter-collegiate football championship men played at Goa University ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Monday.
For Swami Vivekananda College, Sankesh Khodginkar, Prajwal Ghadi and Sairaj Gaonkar scored in the first half. On resumption of play, Swami Vivekananda College netted three more goals with the efforts of Anish Gaude, Prajwal Ghadi and Eshaan Gaude.

CES College, Cuncolim, registered a comfortable 4-0 win over Narayan Zantye College, Bicholim. Only goal in the first half was scored by Akshay Velip of CES College. In the second half, CES College showed their full dominance and netted three goals through Godwin D’Costa, Sandeep Chaudary and Livon Dias.
S S Dempo College, Cujira, showed full domination thrashing Goa College of Arts, Althino-Panjim, 5-0. For SS Dempo College, Chirag Konthankar scored a hat-trick while Ancila Da Cruz added one more goal in the first half. Crossing over, SS Dempo College netted in one more goal which was scored by Muttappa Jamadarkhani to cruises into pre-quarters.
At Chowgule College ground, Govt College, Pernem and Don Bosco College, Panjim, went to a tie-breaker with a full time score of 1-1. Both the teams scored their respective goals in the first half. Jeson Fernandes opened the scoring for Don Bosco College, Panjim, but Govt College, Pernem, equalised in the 23rd minute.
Second half of the match saw a full defensive play by both the teams, resulting in a full time score of 1-1. The game was finally decided through a tie-breaker in which Govt College, Pernem, won by a score 5-4.
Govt College, Sanquelim, outplayed Parvatibai Chowgule College, Margao, 3-0. First goal of the match was scored by Edulaer Kalsaolkar in the first half and the other two goals came in the second half. Aryan Salunke scored a brace. DBCE, Fatorda, edged past VMS College of Law, Miramar, 2-1.
