All about balance and rhythm

Being a builder in Goa these days requires great gumption. Poor sales due to a depressed market for well over two years can turn the strong to putty. John Britto of Acron has over the years created a system to help him handle such stress. AJIT JOHN spoke to the man

After spending more than 28 years working and creating Acron, he still likes to maintain a good rhythm to his life. He is up at 7 am and likes to go out for a brisk walk or a jog for half an hour. He does this three times a week, there is nothing like the sweetness of the morning air to nourish your thoughts.
For a man who has built some interesting structures in the State, his taste in music is quite eclectic. He loves his folk rock from the 70’s and the 80’s. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Simon and Garfunkel, Loggins and Messina are some of his favorites. With movies, he likes the fare directed by Steven Spielberg. That carpenter turned actor Harrison Ford remains a favorite. The Indiana Jones trinity could be a favorite. John likes the sport of table tennis, the acute sense of angles and wind directions, factors that can dictate the development of a structure.
With regards reading, his tastes run towards non-fiction. He loves reading about flying, something that feeds his interest in aviation. With regards food he likes visiting Earthen Oven at Candolim and Royal China in Bombay. For a complete break from work he likes to go on wildlife treks in the Western Ghats of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In five years he would like to write a book or two. No doubt, something eclectic like the man himself.
