PANJIM: EDC Ltd is venturing into setting up of an incubation centre to promote Goan entrepreneurs to work in technology related business, innovations in artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. The last date for sending expression of interest in the project by interested partners to EDC has been extended to November 5, 2017.
Meanwhile, a team of EDC Ltd led by chairman, Sidharth Kuncalienker and consisting of vice chairman Santosh Kenkre; president, GCCI, Sandip Bhandare and Ryan Carvalho met representatives of various companies like ‘YourStory’, ‘Exubator’, ‘Digital Ocean’, etc at Bangalore to get the best company to bid for proposed incubation cum acceleration centre at EDC Ltd.
EDC Ltd successfully implemented ‘CM’s Technology Start-Up Award’ for the last two years, wherein technology start-ups operating from Goa were recognised for their works. In fact one of the company ‘Inventrom’ promoted by Pranav Vernekar won venture capital of Rs 3 crore for his venture after winning first place in the award.
