The pressure of creating something new in the medical field means long nights and dealing with stiff legislation. Gajanan Nagarsekar listens to a lot of rhythm and blues, jazz, slow and steady piano compositions and some Hindi film music. Like many people clued into the developments in the movie industry in the country, he is aware of the blossoming of the Marathi film industry. He loves watching the new releases from that industry though he admits to having a soft corner for English action movies.
The life of a senior executive in a tech company can be filled with mind numbing meetings and long hours at the office. Aware of the dangers inherent in such a life, Mr Nagarsekar plays badminton, chess and swimming. Like any senior executive who travels extensively and is exposed to different cultures he enjoys tucking into a steak though he remains partial to Goan food. His travels across India on work have meant he has not been able to take a holiday for three years.
Now, he makes do with a short holiday for Ganesh, Christmas and Diwali. The demands on time mean he only reads books related to business and technology. He hopes to generate profits to support start-ups in Goa.
