When Farid Veljee is not selling scooters or motorcycles he is travelling around the State talking to local people and building toilets. A bit of yoga every alternate day helps him maintain a healthy equilibrium after waking up at 8 O’clock. He is the office by 11 am. He loves his Goan food which means fish curry and rice. His taste in music runs towards Bollywood with Mukesh being a favorite. He loves Amitabh’s movies like Trisul and Dewar. His busy schedule does not give him time to read though he smiles and says he enjoyed reading Cain and Abel in his youth. He travels every year to the UK and he has traveled to other parts of Europe.
He loves watching movies and on weekends he travels to the various villages of Goa to ascertain the infra needs of the people. He has set up a foundation to do social work around Goa and he intends to increase his work in this sphere in the next five years. And yes, like any India he likes his cricket too.
