PANJIM: The largest vitrified tile ever made in the world was launched in Goa by Gujarat-based tile manufacturing company, Sunheart Tiles. 
The 1200 by 800 mm tile is the largest vitrified tile manufactured in the world. The polished glazed vitrified tile and GVT-Glazed Vitrified tiles was launched by chairman B G Varmora with Hardik Varmora.
Hardik Vamora while speaking to the Herald said there were approximately 700 factories in the country manufacturing various kinds of tiles and it was an intensely competitive market. His company he said `had a turnover of Rs 470 crore and he had set a target of Rs 800 crore for the next year. The company he said was very strong in the north followed by the west and the south. The east was a weak spot and that he wanted to change the situation. The company was exporting to the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and were looking to expand even further.
This is the first ever get together in Goa and around 1000 dealers, buyers, customers from all over India and importers from more than 25 countries. “We invite the people of Goa to witness this and meet the entrepreneurs behind this vibrant company till June 20” said Hardik Varmora. The company has a manufacturing unit in Morbi near Rajkot.
Speaking about the Goan market he said the potential was undoubtedly there and that the dealer in Margao was working hard to ensure that the company’s products gain acceptance in the market. The company instituted its first double charge plant in a record time of six months within commencement. It is also known to be one of the few companies in the world which has an in-house manufacturing facility for the highest range of tiles.
