PANJIM: The state could help itself by teaching entrepreneurship to youngsters at incubation centres. This rather perceptive observation was made by Ajai Chowdhry one of the six founder members of HCL the Indian computer major.
Ajai who spends three months every year in Goa  said the government had to make a very serious effort to help encourage young people to move into business. Each and every college he said had incubators but none of them taught the young students how to market their products. Given the youth dividend in the context of the Indian market, it would act as a crucial catalyst to not just boost innovation but also create employment.
He felt that the country had an opportunity grab pole position in the technological changes. He said “Now everything is embedded to phone devices. Called the internet of things one can attach devices to the body and track changes. No one has a definite say in the market and we can certainly make a mark there”. It was also important he said to fund start-ups so that interesting ideas could stand a chance of seeing the light of day. He offered his services to the state government to help in anyway.
