FC Goa rocks in Porvorim just as it does in Fatorda

Team FC Goa threw its weight behind to say ‘No’. No to excessive use of cars, by participating in the NoMoZO (No Motoring Zone) in Porvorim, an event held for the third time under the tutelage of MLA Rohan Khaunte.

“NoMoZo was designed to bring people from all walks of life together and help them socialise as one community. Such unique initiatives further our efforts in ensuring improved ease of living for Porvorkars and Goenkars as a whole,” said Khaunte.

The presence of footballers of FC Goa and Kannada Superstar Yash, of the movie ‘KGF 1’ fame, drew people like magnets.

NoMoZo began with a carnival parade of Goenkars, which started an evening full of food, fun, dance and music. Message of environment, road safety and healthy lifestyle were given by people and organisers. New and trendy activities were held at the kids zone, fitness zone, sports and games zone, art zone and health zone. On stage activities included folk music, dhalo, romtamel, dance performances, etc.

Over 70 stalls were put up by locals, self help groups and others, showcasing and selling their unique products.
