I want Infrastructure to be the priority. I know that Babush is really good when it comes to the infrastructure and development, so hopefully he will make our Panjim clean and good like he had earlier done in Taliegao. There are so many dug up places here and they don’t even put it up together, something should be done about this matter. Besides I suggest that a better garbage disposal facility should be provided, not all of us have the advantage of the garbage collector coming door to door.

Employment is okay, because we should go out and discover the world than only working in Goa, but what is more important is the infrastructure. Not through building things, that’s not development, development is when you understand on how to make our city clean and function better. So I expect our new Panjim MLA to do good work. The area of focus should be St. Inez creek firstly because we have been whining about it since ages. Also, there is a need to improvise the slum area in St. Inez.

Employment is more important, because every year lots of students are graduating and all cannot pursue studies ahead, some want to work for experience. Government jobs could perhaps help many youngsters, especially those who do not have the advantages of studying further; it may also help those from a lower background. If there is more employment then youth will be encouraged to stay in Goa and won’t have to go abroad. We need more companies coming in, new faces in companies, young minds for the work place. We are young and creative; hence it is very necessary for our employment. Hopefully everything goes well with our new MLA; otherwise it will be the same old story again.

I am in hope that Babush carries on the work that Manohar Parrikar had done. It’s not about being happy that he is elected, you cannot say as this will only show in years to come. In terms of Infrastructure, we need to bring the status back from nullah to creek, and Panjim to be decongested. Speaking of Social infrastructure, people should be helped and given support for startups. Students should also get opportunities for entrance exams, if the education level is good we can have students start up their own companies here itself.

I would want both for sure employment for youth and better infrastructure, but speaking realistically I would want Babush Monserrate to develop the infrastructure of Panjim as we still have bad roads, garbage disposal issues , and maintaining the heritage and taking up more beautification projects.
I am happy that he has been elected it’s been monotonous for 25 years and maybe we did need change. Looking what he has done for his previous constituencies there is a future to look forward too.
