The scenes that unfolded as FC Goa and Delhi Dynamos locked
horns on Sunday were tumultuous. For FC Goa, their fans knew that they were
through to the semis already. However, the winner of the tie would take the top
spot in the league stage of the ISL 2015; which is precisely what the Gaurs
went on to do. Oddly enough, it is the exact same line-up that will go
head-to-head in the semi-finals. The first leg will be played at the Jawaharlal
Nehru Stadium in Delhi on December 11 and the second leg will be played on
December 15 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa.
Never having lost to their Delhi counterparts, some fans
have their fingers crossed on this being ‘their year’. “As fans, we are really
excited about what the semi-final holds in store. The last time, it was
heart-breaking, and it hit us at a time when the performances were going in our
favour. I honestly hope that this year we go all the way and win the ISL,” says
Jonathan Fernandes from Ribandar.

Will this season end in heartbreak once more? Will FC Goa

FC Goa fans react on what they think will happen over two legs of the
semi-final clash:
I think that the team has great odds. The midfield has a lot
of experience from the last time around, as well as new additions that are
playing really well, such as Moura and Joffre. The defence is at its best,
ever. I think that FC Goa will win both in Delhi, as well as in Goa.

My observation, over time, is that FC Goa plays badly when
they are overconfident. They’ve never lost to Delhi, so maybe a little
complacency may set in. I really hope that it doesn’t, because if they approach
this game with a killer instinct, I can’t see them losing it.
