Gouri, a wife, a mother, and an entrepreneur is a woman who wears many hats. She is the woman behind the very successful health food brand called ‘Gouri’s Goodies’ that is now available in Goa too. Gouri’s Goodies is not just a brand, but also a journey of Gouri’s life. Although her interest in food and her knowledge of ingredients dates back to her childhood days, when her father would take her to the market for shopping and would generally talk about the goodness and benefits of many food products, it wasn’t until she was faced with her husband’s health issues that Gouri’s Goodies came into being.

Due to an unfortunate fold of situations, Gouri’s husband was diagnosed with an illness that didn’t allow him to eat regular food. His diet was very restricted in terms of sugar, salt, grains, etc. Now Gouri’s biggest challenge lied in making that health food tasty enough for the entire family to enjoy. One thing led to another, and her cooking experiments made her health food popular in the entire family. So much so that everyone started pushing her to take it up professionally. This unfortunate turn of events in life also disguised as a blessing when it came to giving her passion a professional kick-start.
After much deliberation and push from family and friends, Gouri established Gouri’s Goodies, which houses products like granola bars, healthy cereals, and cakes too. The main motto was to give people food that is healthy for sure but is really high on taste too. Gouri is very particular about the ingredients she picks, her sense of quality ingredients, which she imbibed from her father played a big role in her life now. In fact, one ingredient that Gouri swears by is the Goan palm sugar, which is sourced from a local lady at the Mapusa market.
Each and every ingredient is carefully picked and traditional ways of hand making every product is used till date.
Gouri’s sheer dedication, determination, and hard work have today helped become Gouri’s Goodies a very reputable brand in the market in a short span of time.
