The story revolves around an aged mother (Pritam
Pai), her two sons David (Anif), his wife Annie (Flacksy) and teen son Eldrich
(Joah Carvalho), Julio (Saby) and his son Quiton (Quiton) and daughter Succorin
(Evon) and her sons, Clinton (Stancio) and Tyson (Oswin).
On
account of paralysis, the mother is ill-treated by her sons, who reside under
the same roof. But she receives sympathy from her only daughter. Although the
daughter is married, she does not fail to make courtesy visits on a regular
basis. The grandmother also receives all the required love from her
grandchildren, except from one, who is portrayed as the bad grandson.

Taking note of all the atrocities and
curses lavished upon his grandmother, Eldrich is bold enough to fight back with
his parents and defend his granny with some good dialogues.
Succorin’s constant visits to her
parental home makes her two brothers suspicious. They are under the impression
that the major share of ancestral property will go from mother to the daughter.
But it is not so.
For all the physical and mental
inflictions imposed on the ailing mother, what’s the punishment awaited to one
of the ungrateful sons? Despite all the sacrifices made for the well-being of
the two sons and the ill-treatment, will the aged mother have a compassionate
heart till the end?
Jose/Evon’s post-monsoon tiatr ‘Chint
Monxea Vogot Astana’ highlights the ungratefulness of grownup children towards
their aging guardians and the care, affection received from grandchildren.
As a new entrant on the tiatr stage,
Pritam Pai has displayed good talent and she is equally confident in rendition
as well. As a married daughter, Evon looks quite tough towards the wrongdoings
and handles her opponents with ease. As a daughter-in-law, Flacksy plays her
negative role with ease. Anif and Saby are good as the ungrateful sons of the
family.
Among the grandchildren, while Quiton
executes his role of bad grandson with confidence, Stancio and Joah are
kind-hearted and the latter wins hearts of the audience with his catchy lines.
In the comic acts, Oswin and Lavina
projected as lovers and Evon, Stancio, Ashton, Roger and Jose as Monica join
in, bringing in laughter riot on stage.
In the category of songs, Stancio and
Flacksy come on stage for the opening song, followed by songs by Evon, Flacksy,
Jose, Lavina, Jr Reagan, Joe de Areal, Ashton, Anif and Stancio. A duet by Jose
and Evon is well accepted. A trio by Pritam, Lavina and Flacksy on the power of
women stands out among other songs. A solo by child artiste Eldrich also
receives an encore from the audience.
Among the musicians, there are a good
number of youngsters displaying their musical skills along with seniors and
they are guided by Jose Carvalho and Mariano. The lights have been handled by Dinesh.
