The toxicity of doubts in a marriage

A lawyer by profession, Joyel (Elvis) and Shenol (Jones) are in love with each other. But due to his commitments in the court, there are always delays in the meeting each other. Realizing that it could be a one-sided love, Shenol decides to call it quits and goes her way, leaving Joyel to decide for himself about his future.

Shenol finally ties the knot with Lester (Maverick), whose mom (Carmin) enjoys a second marriage after the death of her first husband. As his mom stays away from him, Lester fails to receive that maternal love and consequently takes up to vices.

After marriage, Shenol too fails to receive the love she expected from Lester. Unable to bear the loneliness any longer, she approaches Joyel for legal advice.

But Shenol’s interaction and meetings with the lawyer is misunderstood by Lester with doubt in mind. He interprets it in a different and wrong way. Joyel was out only to save Shenol and Lester’s marriage. What follows next is worth the watch during the second half of the drama.

What prompts Joyel to acknowledge his gross mistake and turn towards his spouse? Will Shenol forgive Joyel and pave the way for a new beginning?

Quite often doubts between husband and wife can destroy married life. This is the message conveyed by Pal Soares in his tiatr ‘Ghov Bailam Modem’. If doubts are uprooted and understanding prevails among husbands and wives, then marriage can be another heaven on earth.

Maverick and Jones are in the lead roles and they have given fine performances. They have ample scope for better performances on the commercial tiatr stage.  Elvis and Carmin, although in two different characters, deliver well on stage. Quixote D’Cruz also in two different roles extends good support to the main cast.

In the comic acts, there’s comedian Humbert entertaining the audience with Jelvy, Jaison and Flynon. The comical dose could have been more from the comedians.

In the category of songs, Jelvy makes her appearance on stage with the opening song, followed by solos from Lawry Travasso, Clint, Tony de Ribandar, Quixote D’Cruz and Hillary. There are songs from Clint and Jelvy and Anil/Olga as well. A political solo from Olga receives an encore. Duo, trio, quartet and choral went amiss in the drama. Entertainment via renditions was very less. Musicians led by Nolvert and team extended support to the singers on stage.

The stage sets and light effects were handled by Anthony de Ambaji singlehandedly.
