The annual awards for the year 2026 have been announced by Konkani Bhasha Mandal. These awards will be presented during the function organised on the occasion of the 64th Foundation Day of the Konkani Bhasha Mandal. The ceremony will be held on October 2 at Gomant Vidya Niketan, Margao at 4 pm.

The Konkani Bhasha Mandal-sponsored Seva Puraskar (Service Award) this year will be presented to Fr Michael Fernandes, Fr Lino Folorindo, Suranga Madkaikar, Hiru Naik and Suresh Kolvenkar.
The Serafino Cota-sponsored Felicio Cardozo Memorial Teacher Award (Primary and Secondary Section) will be awarded to Swati Naik, the Vijay Sardesai-sponsored Madhavi Sardesai Teacher Award (Higher Secondary and College Section) will be awarded to Sucheta Pai, the Ligorio Furtado Trust Memorial Journalism Award will be awarded to Atul Pandit, and the Dinesh Manerkar-sponsored Chandrakant Keni Memorial Column Writing Award will be presented to Br John Malvino Alphonso.
Vincy Quadros-sponsored Juze Piedade Memorial Karyakarta Puraskar (Activist Award) will be awarded to Ulhas Gaonkar, Rupesh Thanekar, and Suchita Narvekar. The Fr Moreno D’Souza Memorial Yuva Sahitya Puraskar (Youth Literature Award) has been awarded to Shraddha Garad and the Vikram Verlekar-sponsored Yuva Udyojika Puraskar (Young Woman Entrepreneur Award) has been awarded to Gautami Raikar. The Bal Sahitya Puraskar (Children’s Literature Award) has been awarded to Shrikant Nagvenkar’s book ‘Navlanchyo Vigyan Katha’.
The Rock Barreto Sahitya Puraskar for Rupa Rajesh Keni’s book ‘Vijamit Ani Her Katha’, and the Shridhar Kamat Isht Parivar-sponsored Shridhar Kamat Sahitya Puraskar for Fr Roman Rodrigues’s book in Romi script ‘Dhage’ has been awarded. Sheetal Nandkumar Parab’s poetry collection ‘Gavan Kadlyo Kavita’ will be awarded the Konkani Bhasha Mandal-sponsored Ramesh Veluskar Sahitya Puraskar. The Dinesh Manerkar-sponsored Ramnath Manerkar Translation Award was not given as there was no deserving book.
The jury members for the various awards are for the Seva Puraskar, Dr Narayan Desai, Sandesh Prabhudesai and Vasant Bhagwant Sawant; for the Karyakarta Puraskar, Prashant Naik, Saish Paynekar and Anwesha Singhbal; for the Felicio Cardozo Teacher Award, Anant Agni, Dilip Naik and H Manoj; for the Madhavi Sardesai Teacher Award, Dr Prakash Vazrikar, Kashmiri Pawaskar and Trupti Kunkalienkar; for the Journalism and Column Writing Award, Fausto D’Costa, Pramod Acharya and Mahesh Divekar; for the Yuva Sahitya Puraskar, Anju Sakhardande, Dr Rajay Pawar and Fr Myron Barreto; for the Sahitya Puraskar, Dr Kiran Budkule, Prashanti Talpankar and Fr Luis Gomes; for the Yuva Udyojika Puraskar, Rajesh Prabhu, Radhakant Divekar and Parag Lolayenkar; and for the Bal Sahitya Puraskar, Nayana Adarkar, Chetan Acharya and Kavindra Faldesai.
