Walk for Freedom

 Panjim

from
corporates, colleges and NGOs participate in the Walk for Freedom to raise
awareness about human trafficking. The walk also took place at nine other
cities across India on October 19, 2019, namely Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata,
Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Shillong and Pune.

The
Walk for Freedom is the world’s largest such event to raise awareness against
human trafficking, happening simultaneously in 450 locations across 50
countries. Globally, the Walk is organised by A21, an international NGO in the
fight against modern-day slavery. The Walk for Freedom returned to India on
October 19 for the third year in a row, hosted by The Movement, a volunteer
mobilisation platform based in Mumbai, in partnership with over 50 NGOs,
colleges and corporates across India. This was Panjim’s maiden year
participating in the Walk for Freedom, and the lead partner on the Walk was
