 outraging modesty: Four Andhra tourists arrested 

PORVORIM: Mapusa Police on Sunday arrested four tourists from Andhra Pradesh on charges of outraging modesty of a 45-year-old woman from Mandrem.
According to Mapusa Police, the victim woman complained that while she was proceeding from Madda to Mapusa market, the accused persons, K V Ramankumar, P H Bhasker, R Ashok and P A Rangarao, alighted from their car and signalled her to proceed with them. The woman got frightened and lodged a police complaint. Police rushed to the site and arrested the four accused tourists under Section 354 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating the case.
Two karwar locals held for assault 
CANACONA: Canacona Police on Sunday arrested two men from Karwar on charges of abducting a cook and assaulting a bar-and-restaurant owner at Polem.
According to Canacona PI Harishchandra Madkaikar, Chotu alias Prakash Sarvan along with his cook was on their way home on scooter late Saturday night when the accused, Prashant Chari and Ritesh Badkar, stopped them near Polem Petrol Pump. Police further informed that the accused persons allegedly assaulted Chotu and snatched gold chain and money from him. The duo also took away his two-wheeler and abducted the cook. Acting on the complaint, Canacona Police with the help of their Karwar counterparts nabbed Chari and Badkar on Sunday.
Kidnap plaint filed at Colva 
MARGAO: Uncle of minor victim girl complained to Colva police that on May 3 some unknown accused kidnapped his niece aged 17 years from his lawful guardianship.
Colva police registered offence under sections 363 IPC and Sec-8 of Goa Children Act 2003 and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Tulsidas S Naik. 
Two hurt in hit and run case 
MARGAO:  A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against unknown drive of Eicher vehicle for dashing against a motorcycle at railway gate, Nessai. Both the rider Eshappa alias  Eshwar Hanumantappa Talwar and pillion Chanappa Mariappa Goge suffered major injuries and the accused escaped from the spot. Maina Curtorim Police have registered offence under sections 279, 338 IPC .
Gold, cash stolen from hotel 
MARGAO:  Unknown persons entered into a room of a starred hotel at Varca on May 9 and stole cash and gold ornaments amounting to Rs four lakh. 
Rajendaran Menon, native of Khanpur – UttarPradesh filed a complaint with Colva police that when he along with family returned to hotel room at mid night after attending a wedding function of their daughter, they were shocked to find the window of the room open and cash and gold ornaments missing.  Menon has stated that he had come down to Goa for his daughter wedding and was putting up in the hotel. An offence under section 457 and 380 IPC has been registered against unknown accused persons and PSI Ritesh Tari is investigating. 
Vasco house burgled
DABOLIM: Two television sets and cash of Rs 50,000 were stolen from a house at Vasco on Saturday night.
According to Mormugao Police, Ashok Khole of Sushila Niketan Building, Vasco, complained that the incident occurred while he had gone out for some work at about 8 pm on Saturday. However, when he returned home at about 11.30 pm, he found the door broke open and two televisions sets and cash of Rs 50,000 missing from the house.
Police said Khole was staying alone at his residence, while his family had gone to native place for vacation. PSI Silesh Narvekar is investigating the case.
Hubby accused of harassment 
DABOLIM: A 33-year-old woman from Cansaulim has accused her husband and in-laws of harassing her.
According to Verna Police, the victim woman, who was married in 2007, accused her husband, mother-in-law, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law of domestic violence and harassment along with the dowry.
Verna Police has registered the case under Section 498(A) 34 of IPC against the accused persons and is investigating the case.
