Kudos, to the joint efforts of the youth of Maina, villagers, Panchayat Sarpanch, MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, and the land owner of Nessai oxygen factory for their co-operation to battle against removing the garbage nuisance in the areas of Ramnagiri.
I daily commute on the stretch of road and was impressed with the dedication of the youth and the villagers of the two panchayat areas, on keeping a vigil over the nuisance of waste dumping. All done very well by giving a new clean look to the area, to prevent any further occurrence of waste dumping, installation of CCTV camera , which can be monitored by adjoining area business establishments for which, they can charge a fee for the footage of acts of violating waste disposal.
Educating the villagers by organizing seminars, cleanliness drives, etc, simultaneously keeping vigilance, enforcing strict penal action, will totally eradicate the waste dumping nuisance ensuring a win-win goal against the battle for waste disposal.
