There is huge hypocrisy by the Indian Government on its intentions to address the Black Money problem in India. Leave aside what’s in the Swiss Bank accounts now, what about the practically daily Real Estate deals going on in India. Are we saying that the Income Tax department is not aware of this or is their job only to check on the common man!
Goa in particular is being destroyed by Black Money pumped in from other parts of India and the Government is allowing all this probably because it’s own ministers are involved in these shady deals.
Nobody in Goa suddenly become CEO’s, Managing Directors etc of Real Estate companies when all they are doing is in trading in a lot of black money and facilitating the big guns also to play with their black cash. Goans need to address this issue urgently in Goa in whatever way possible, addressing this will go a long way in preserving what’s left of our beautiful state.
