Blessing in disguise

The recent scarcity of beef in Goa may be a blessing in disguise. Top on the list of incidence of cancers in Goa is colon or rectal cancer. The leading cause of these cancers is the high intake of red meat and alcohol and the low intake of fruits, vegetables, vitamin D and calcium. Of course there could be other causes of cancer like pollution, smoking, lack of physical exercise and stress. Perhaps eating red meat occasionally is harmless provided you keep physically fit and have a happy outlook in life.
