My ancestors lived and died there. I am one of their descendants. The inhabitants of Chorao are anxiously waiting for the bridge, to facilitate them to go to Panjim and other places. The village requires more development to change economically. The government should fulfill and construct a new bridge to fulfill people’s aspirations.
The villagers of Chorao celebrate the traditional feast of their patron St. Bartolomeu on August 24 every year with great pomp, etc. Those villagers residing out of Chorao are also visiting and taking part in religious ceremonies on the feast day.
