I appreciate the Goa Chief Minister sanctioning Rs 220 crore for development projects in Benaulim. However, I hope that this is not an incentive to Benaulimkars for softening on their anti-Mopa stance; as this amount will be very small as compared to the huge gains that the Mopa lobbies will make for personal profits; not to mention the losses and the inconveniences that will be faced by majority people of Goa; in this case including the Benaulimkars!
If the Parrikar Government starts recovering the mining loot, there will be even higher sums available for good development, not only for Benaulim but all constituencies in Goa.
