It is observed that in Goa that the civic bodies many a times collect the garbage from the shops and establishments situated in the market during the evening when it is crowded with shoppers. The garbage truck which is usually an open one is parked by the roadside and the garbage is manually transferred from the garbage bins into the trucks by the municipal workers. This creates a lot of inconvenience to the general public, specially, the shoppers. The garbage truck as well as the garbage bins which are emptied into these trucks raise a lot of stink which is unbearable. The garbage trucks also create problems for the smooth flow of traffic as it (the garbage truck) is parked haphazardly. It would be in the fitness of things for the civic bodies to collect the garbage from the shops early in the morning when the market-place is less crowded. The civic bodies are doing yeomen service by carrying out the door-to-door collection of garbage. But at the same time it should collect the garbage during a predetermined fixed time early in the morning so that the general public is not inconvenienced.
