It is very sad that Mrs. Videshi jumped in the river Zuari along with her three year old daughter, allegedly due to harassment meted to her in the hands of her husband Yogesh and her in laws (Herald dated 18/7/14). The tragic death of Videshi and her daughter should not be set aside by simply arresting her husband and he in laws and releasing them on bail, the trio should be punished severely and award death sentence or life imprisonment..for driving Videshi to commit suicide.
Such cases are very common now a days, where in young wives die due to harassment by their husbands and in laws. The government must enforce strict law to punish them severely to put a full dot to such cases in near future.
