Its about time this topic is closed and buried forever. Goans are quiet clear they will not be forced to use the helmet. Wearing helmets on village and city roads makes no sense and increases the risk of accidents as most of the riders are not able to ride properly even without a helmet!
Further there is no road sense forcing people to use helmets jeopardizing their lives. 90% of accidents are hit and run cases, so helmet serves no purpose.
We all know this rule is just motivated by commercial gains and not a sincere desire to address other burning issues relating to traffic management ,which is wanting.
People should wear a helmet out of their free will, this we riders have reiterated time and again, only to be forced to do so by individuals who don’t even have to wear a helmet in their life time!
