With the facility of e-visa now available to the Chinese there is likely to be a significant growth in Chinese tourists. In China, the Chinese woman is perfectly safe at all times. Chinese girls in skimpy western outfits are seen alone at midnight at bus stops. Two years ago a Chinese couple in Goa, no doubt under a false sense of security, ventured out late at night on the beach in North Goa and the woman was raped. There was hardly any noise in Goa, just a report. Tourists visiting Goa need to be made aware of the unsafe beach areas at all times as they may think it is as safe here as in their country.
