Insult to electorate

Your cartoon idhar udhar (Herald, 17 Oct) speaks volume about the dream project of our CM Manohar Parrikar. Even his assertion that only his government and no one else can decide on Mopa airport. Does the CM think that if his party is ruling the state and the Centre means he can go ahead against the wishes of those who gave him this mandate. His questioning whether Goa means only South Goa is an insult to the electorate who brought his party to power both at the Assembly election and at the Lok Sabha polls.
Dabolim Airport existed long before and we people from North have been using it without any difficulty. Why this sudden negative thought by the CM. Is he trying to divide North and South by his negative approach. Besides he should remember that only because of the people of South Goa, we have the State of Goa to ourselves or else we would have been a district of Maharashtra. Parrikar  as the CM you have to listen to the voices of its people or else it will be like the downfall of our former PM late Indira Gandhi when she said Indira is India and what a downfall it was.
