Lately, Goa has been adjudged as the “Best Overall State” among small states at India Today’s State of the States Conclave 2014.The question that rises in one’s mind is “Is this title justified?”We have perpetually witnessed innumerable rapes, molestations, thefts, murders and mishaps on a daily basis. The Government has been relatively unsuccessful in eradicating deep rooted corruption, grinding poverty and unemployment issues. Thus the grandeur of such title stands insignificant. It is time that the authorities enforce stringent laws and trend towards these predicaments.
