Mr PM, it is alright that the American Indians have given you a standing ovation for your speech. But let me tell you frankly, it was full of abstractions and promises and selling dreams which the public fell head over heels for the same.
For example, let us take the case of involving every citizen to participate in the development process – the so called development to be a Jana Andolan (Mass Movement). May I ask you to spell out the tangible plan and roadmap for enabling every citizen to participate in the development? Kindly define the yardstick of development in each field and the time target for achieving it. And the organized effort for realizing the same. (Today bureaucracy is mostly corrupt and indulges in red tape and nepotism).
Secondly, you promised that by 2022, every citizen of India will have a house of his own. This is pure wishful imagination. What about poor urban and lower middle classes wanting to have a house in cities and suburbs where the cost of flats is prohibitive-beyond the reach of many? Sir, sorry to say you are only day-dreaming. We were expecting that you would outline a concrete roadmap. Instead the same things are repeated again and again. You have yet again proved that you are a pukka khiladi.

Alms and the man
Those women and children who beg in this cities and other public places are not beggars but it is a racket of begging. There are kingpins behind this racket. The government should come out openly and stop this racket. Those people who give them money are fools.
Those who pretend to be beggars drug their small children and put them to sleep as if they are sick and go on begging. These so called beggars are not from Goa but they are brought by organized gangs from other states especially from Karnataka. The government should order the police to arrest them and deport them to their own states. The people should also stop giving them alms.

National parties viz TN politics
The judgment on the disproportionate assets case of J Jayalalitha, the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, is undoubtedly sending a strong message to the similarly corrupt political fraternity in the country. Those crafty politicians who always trusted on their own clouts, to turn any adverse situations to their advantage, must now realize that they cannot be lucky every time.
However it is too strange a phenomenon of the Tamil Nadu politics that despite proven corruption charges, the leaders of AIADMK or DMK have not become unpopular in the eyes of their supporters. Even though the conviction of Jayalalitha may have serious ramifications in the TN politics, it is very unlikely that any national parties viz BJP or Congress can move into any space in this Southern State, at this point of time. It is important for BJP and Congress to well understand the unassailable position of Jayalalitha in her party and her enormous capability to control TN politics through poxy.

Land is the most precious commodity in Goa today and many Communidades have landed in the soup for land scams.
The latest Assagao Communidade land scam is a case in point where 237 communidade plots were fraudulently allotted to outsiders even when the members of the communidade were kept waiting. This is the culture of our Goan system where we have no morals left and are ready to offer our land and souls to the highest bidder.
I myself had a firsthand experience of this fact in the Tivim Communidade wherein I have been struggling to add legitimate names of my family members and my application for a plot is lost in the fight for control for power between the past and the present attorneys.
