Mr. Modi is known for his art of mastering platitudes such as ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’,’ ache din aane wale hai’, etc. However, from what we have seen in the last few months, is anything but aache din for the minority communities. The right wing Hindu organization of RSS with the support of the ruling BJP party is hell bent on spreading its communal agenda across the entire country. It started with love jihad, then the ghar wapsi and now the burning and desecrations of churches in Delhi. However, it is the silence of the Prime Minister that is putting the wind in the sail of the RSS and its BJP party colleagues. On the other hand, is the silence of the PM a quiet form of approval? Mr. Obama has rightly said that India will only progress so long as it was not splintered along the lines of religious faith. It is in fact a shame to be told by an outsider of such incidents happening in our country. It is high time for our PM who has a sincere desire to take our country to great heights of riches to wake up and break his silence denouncing such incidents in a strong manner to put a break on the evil activities of these religious extremist organizations.
