Vijay Sardesai is right in saying that Mopa is a joint venture of BJP and Congress. Both Luizinho Faleiro and Francisco Sardinha are the forefathers of the Mopa airport project. Then came BJP government headed by Manohar Parikar, who supported it and still supports it. Now, that the Congress is out of power, both Faleiro and Sardinha say that MOPA is not financially feasible. Parrikar already fooled Goans and won election on the mining issue, special status, dual citizenships for those who registered their birth in Portugal, zero tolerance for corruption etc. He also fooled the voters of Sindhudurga in Maharashtra saying that Mopa will boost their tourism. Both the Congress and BJP are equally responsible for the construction of Mopa against the wishes of Goans at large.
