There is no doubt that President Obama’s visit to our country was a grand success and the Prime Minister deserves credit for an event which could be treated as another feather in his head gear.
Indo-US relations can only grow stronger and with the two world’s greatest democracies with solid constitutions as their base will be an exemplary force to reckon with.
President Obama while appreciating the various achievements, needs and aspirations of India has more than extended his hand to help India achieve her goal of self reliance and alleviation of our various problems. His interaction with the youth and the old alike has indeed been an inspiring experience to the Generation Next.
In fact one of the best advice he could give us towards the end of his short stay in India is not to allow religious fanaticism come in the way of our development and progress. This should be taken seriously not only by some of our fanatic out-fits but more so by the governments themselves – both at the Centre and at the state levels. In fact the President’s remarks go to show that the world is watching us. Respect to the Constitutional provision and a philosophy of “Live and Let Live” visa-vis religious freedom for peace and harmony in our society.
