The proposed third Mandovi bridge is causing huge problems for North Goa commuters into Panjim. Journey times now increase by an additional half an hour to traverse the 1.5 km road from Sai Service to the bridgehead. The bottleneck at the construction site will only get worse once the central spine opens out into the proposed four-lane carriageway. All this indicates an unacceptable callous attitude towards citizens as well as flawed thinking by the government on associated traffic problems. This crass attitude also shows itself in the sea face road from Caranzalem right up to Dona Paula awaiting concretization. The residents in Caranzalem have been put to immense hardships because that development has had no proper action plan.
