The time the BJP government has come to power in Goa, it has been using the services of PWD contractors and continuously digging, if not vandalizing most major roads under the guise of laying sewerage lines, water pipes, cables etc in Goa.
Why has the BJP government started making the life of all road users miserable by continuously vandalizing our roads with the help of the PWD contractors in Goa? Don’t we pay our road taxes regularly in Goa? The most irritating part is that when we see these PWD guys digging roads only after they have been hot mixed and has been made perfect for road users. Don’t the PWD contractors know that they have to lay sewerage lines, water pipes, cables etc before the construction of any road in Goa? Or do they come to know that they have to lay some underground pipes, cables only after the hot mixing of roads in Goa?
Looking at the attitude of the BJP government and the PWD contractors, it clearly shows that they are all hand in glove and out to make fast money through such corrupt means in Goa. Of course, the same government is currently seen giving big talks and promising of smart cities .
Unfortunately, has the BJP government really seen the condition of most roads in Goa, especially the internal main roads in Mapusa, Panjim, Carazalem, Dona Paula, Porvorim and the road going from Don Bosco School to Calangute market/St Anthony Chapel plus the road stretch heading from Dr Jack Sequera statue to St Anthony Chapel? Yes, these roads have become like death-traps and totally unsafe for road users due to the continuous digging done by the PWD contractors since the last so many months.
I would therefore advise the BJP government to get its priorities right first and then to bluff Goans by giving big talks of smart cities for its own publicity in Goa…. Yes, first give us proper roads and then talk of smart cities in Goa.
