Taliban attack barbaric and inhuman

The Peshawar Attack which killed 132 children is a barbaric and inhuman act which cannot be pardoned by any sense of imagination. It is very disturbing that innocent school going children are massacred just to teach a lesson to the Pakistan army. The people who are doing this in the name of Islam have nothing to do with Islam and its teachings.
Islam calls for protection of human life and property, even during war, Islam prohibits the army to kill children, women, monks, and old people. The Holy Quran clearly states in chapter 5 verse 32
“…if any one slew a person – unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land – it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.” Its really pathetic to know that the people who are killing children mercilessly can act opposite of what Islam teaches and still claim that they represent Islam.

Why should children suffer?
Everyone believes that children are innocent. Their facial impression makes all human beings to smile and love. We call them as flowers of paradise. But these innocent children were massacred ruthlessly by terrorists in Peshawar. A few months back we heard about Palestinians children who had been massacred mercilessly and now Pakistani children. This was a cowardly act by terrorist . Attacking defenseless children is the lowest of lows. No religion allows killing of innocents.

Pak should unite
It is most shocking and shameful for Pakistan that hundreds of innocent school children are butchered and grievously injured by Taliban terrorists in Peshawar in Pakistan.
It is high time for the Pakistan government to put end to all terrorists activities. These terrorists who have no mercy even against innocent children are enemies of mankind and all countries of the world must come forward and join in eliminating terrorism from Pakistan and also other countries.  In fact these brain-washed terrorists are worse than animals –who must be killed instantly to save human lives. Sadly innocent people especially Muslim youth is being exploited in the name of Islam religion   by wrong teachings.

It’s a super league
The Indian Super League was an extravaganza of a different kind which was never seen in India, perfectly timed too for viewers.
It was a showcase for the Indian footballers to exhibit their talents to the world at large.
Hats off to Nita Ambani, Sachin, Sourav, Virat for supporting football. Let the world know that India is not just a cricketing nation but we play football too.

Concrete roads
Pot-holed roads and roads with uneven surface have been a perennial problem in Goa. This causes not just inconvenience to road-users but has been the cause of several road-accidents, some of them fatal. It is seen that roads in Goa which are hot-mixed do not survive for long and the pot-holes reappear, at times even after a single monsoon season. It would be in the fitness of things to concretize those roads which develop pot-holes on a regular basis. Concretizing the roads may cost more than hot-mixing them, but in the long run having concrete roads are more cost-effective. It is understood that while tarred roads may not last for more than a couple of years and may need regular maintenance, laying of concrete roads means that they will not require maintenance for more than fifty years.

Medical scam
Medical care in Goa is getting to be a organised racket where doctors are forcing patients  to undergo medical procedures that they could do without. In a one case,  a patient  was being told by the consultant that “there is no option” and the other  consultants  present  concurred with him. We cancelled everything, paid a astronomical bill and the patient is doing perfectly well, without the procedure. Futher  the rates charged by doctors are determined by the insurance factor. ICU is the favorite “quick” money spinner for these hospitals. Once in, it’s difficult to get out. Rates for the same procedure in metros may be half of what it is in Goa.

Mahiti Ghars
It is heartening to note that the government has finally put its foot down and decided to close down the Mahiti Ghars in the state. The Mahiti Ghars were actually set up to assist the general public for better delivery of services. It was aimed at providing hassle free service to the public and simple work could be done at Mahiti Ghar. However over a period of time Mahiti Ghars have become a epicentres of organized, unethical form of swindling money from the public.
If one visits a Mahiti Ghar and asks for assistance on how to go about with mutation or partition then the immediate response is handing over of a visiting card or pamphlet. The common man is further misguided and informed that the mutation has become online and the organization which is adverted on the said visiting card or pamphlet is the only Government authorized resource to carry out mutation or partition. Then the person is duped by way of misrepresentation as he is induced to falsely believe that the concerned organization is a legitimate Government department which undertakes online applications for mutations, partitions etc. Further, the applicant is charged exorbitantly and there is absolutely no proper service rendered and one is left to fend for himself.
