Break traffic rules, but save your heads by using crash helmets. This is the message of the RTO Director to the people of Goa. Has he forgotten that the human bodies consist of other important parts as well? How to save them? Take for example, four-wheeler drivers. How should they protect themselves from the accidents leading them either to death or serious injury? Is Goa the only place on earth where two-wheelers run on roads? Do other States of India have the same rules on helmets? Do the RTO Director and the transport minister know how many people are suffering from spondolysis or other backbone diseases caused by use of helmets? If you are really concerned about the welfare of people and not the commission that you are expecting from the crash helmets industry, please see that the people strictly follow the rules of good driving and the roads are smoothly maintained.
