Ticket scandal at ISL

The otherwise superbly organized Indian Super League has been marred by ticket scandal as was evident at the crucial match between FC Goa and North East United on 1st December 2014.  As per the newspaper reports large number of genuine ticket holders could not get entry into the stadium as the authorities closed the gates unable to withstand huge rush of football lovers  awaiting to enter the stadium.
The moot question is how and why the ticket holders could not get entry. Was it not the case of excess sale of tickets as against the rated seating capacity?  An immediate investigation  must be conducted  preferably headed by the Collector of South Goa along with the Superintendent of Police and bring to book those involved  in this racket. Needless to add that the Star TV in its telecast had shown the spectators present at the game as under 19,000 and yet the stadium was full to its brim with crowds spilling on the foot paths and peripheries of the ground reminding everyone present of the Great Ticket Scam of ODI Cricket match 2001 between India and Australia.
The owners of FC Goa must also initiate action through its internal enquiry and put an end to such misdeeds including black marketing of tickets and uphold ethics of the game.
