With all the reports claiming that there is decline of tourists in Goa it is a big concern not only to the shack owners and taxi operators but it’s negative impact on the economy.
The Government must not focus on Russian market only, may be they are high spenders but not for long as we all know that there are so many sanctions put on Russia by USA, England, Germany, EU and Russia has already entered into a recession which will affect the tourism industry even more badly in the coming years.
So the government must focus on other countries which have strong economy and are regularly taking vacation looking for sun and sea. But what is most important is the infrastructure besides natural beaches which we need — theme parks, museums, aquariums, illumination on the beaches, better traffic system, parking spaces, better facilities on the beach, trust in police system these are all the major factors for the success of tourism.
So let’s save the tourism atleast, before its too late and let’s not forget it was the English who made Goa famous and they are one of the frequent travellers who have contributed largely to the Goan tourism
