It is very unfortunate that the ex-PM Manmohan Singh’s name is being dragged into the coal scam for his actions when he was in office. We all know that the former PM is a man of unimpeachable integrity. At the same time we have to admit that he was a round peg in a square political hole. As the minister in charge of the coal portfolio he has to take responsibility for all decisions willy-nilly. Everyone is equal before the law. However, the special CBI court, in a spirit of magnanimity should extend to the ex-PM the courtesy of examining him at his residence. After all he was our PM for 10 long years. He must be treated honorably.
