The immortal Bard once said: “All the world’s a stage”. In our www.com,e-age, the world is more like a boundless, movie-making surround sound studio, where the Global Village comes out to watch and perform; anytime, anyplace, anywhere, “and each one has to play his part”. In a stage play the audience is aimed at the action, in a movie the action is aimed at the audience.
A natural attribute that we are born with is to live a life of happiness and satisfaction in everything we do, for our individual selves and everyone and everything around us. As the performer, lead actor, story writer, director, cameraman and sound engineer, we need to script a scenario the way life wants to be. We need to conjure up from the innermost depths of our perception an epic saga of joy and wonder and fulfilment. We need to use every tool of wisdom we have accumulated over the years, an arsenal of ethics and morals tucked away in the treasure chest of magic and wonder embedded in our personality.
LIGHTS: The Light within is what will guide us.
First let’s take a looking around at the world we are already in. You don’t see it the way it ought to be? OK, so let’s get back to redrawing the Story Board. To progress towards that all-promising existential goal, we need to pin-point the obstacles that make problems pile up on our side of the dam. Mother Nature wants to display all her beauty, all her bounty, all her glory, for us to live a life of secured contentment, of wonderment and appreciation of her boundless beauty, in short, she wishes to present to us the best possible world to live in. But we continue to deploy our devious desires to destroy and deconstruct every gift of wonder in our path.
We plunder and pillage the planet in passionate pursuit of petty and pointless possessions. Our thirst for trivial titbits of temporary treasures is tearing entire nations apart.
Think about it. Is it truly worth such mindless mayhem? But the Light within tells us otherwise. That motivational force within, that inspirational factor we all possess, constantly prompts to aspire for a better way, the way it WANTS to be. The Voice says: Let’s make that Movie, an Eternal Epic with a Story of Life that’s about who we really are. Let’s call it: (Any suggestions for a Title).
CAMERA: The Sets and Props are up and waiting.
Producing an award-winning “Blockbuster” would need anything up to a Billion dollars. But to conjure up the greatest motion picture in the History of Mankind will need unlimited resources.
And what have we got? We are in reality endowed with unlimited energy, unlimited wisdom and boundless creativity, and an imagination that can concoct an infinite number of movies, all at once. Energy cannot be created and cannot be destroyed”, so declared the wisest of the wise. The reason that’s true is because Energy is Infinite. You cannot add or subtract from infinity.
Having said all that stuff, and thanks for following this essay up to here, let’s get down to doing what has to be done.
ACTION: Let the Cameras roll.
The morning papers very clearly, diligently, emphatically, describe in painful detail what ails our public institutions and what causes the disruption in the social fabric of our lives. And the culprits are: faulty governance, negligence, dereliction of duty, mismanagement, incompetence, pursuit of power, and above all corruption, which is actually robbing the poor to give to the rich, themselves. To the journalists and private citizens who share this critical information, please know how sincere, appreciative and grateful we are.
ACT ONE: Education and Good Health for all. As responsible Citizens this should be our main focus of what our Society needs. We already have the capability and resources and informed blueprints to implement these projects. Knowledge bestows the most desirable blessings one can offer to the millions of underprivileged citizens. Education produces all-round benefits that people have been so eagerly anticipating.
A Healthy and Educated population will generate an enhanced quality of living for the nation, a benefit that can only be measured with a yardstick stretching to infinity.
ACT TWO: The next essential endeavour is to beautify the world. It is our absolute duty to maintain our planet in its pristine origins. As far as our minuscule blue dot somewhere in this boundless universe is concerned, we need to perform the right job of caring for our world; perfect guidance is always inside of us. Our very survival, and especially the maintenance of our state of bliss while we inhabit this world, makes it our unshakeable responsibility to ensure that we respect and care for every square inch of the earth. The quality of air, proper land management, the purity of our water resources and zero pollution of the environment will allow Nature to decide whether we survive or succumb to a world of misery.
ACT THREE: So who are we Humans? What are we here for? Why and where have we come from? Where are going?
Science now says that the Cosmos is one Unit of Infinite Energy. Each one of us is the “entire whole” of the physical and non-physical sphere of existence. A combination of the physical and spiritual. Everything is us, we are everything, the Known and the Unknown.
The trees, the plants, the animals, the rocks, the waters, the air and us, we all share the same air, the same breath. They are us and we are them. The one special aspect that we as Humans are endowed with is the ability, and duty, to preserve and maintain our world in all its glory. It’s our bounden duty to do right by them.
ACT FOUR: Let’s get together and get it all done. Let’s make the best use of our Infinite Energy and Resources. It’s what we are here for anyway.
