This is in reference to the letter “Showcasing of India” dated Sept 30. Well I do respect the writers view point as I would do so for everyone having an opinion of their own. However, it seemed to me that the writer was trying to initiate a positive feeling within the readers for our PM Narendra Modi, which very much does not exist.
Well our PM does not feel the importance to address: a) The pain of our farmers and the anxiety of the ex-service men who are waiting for the OROP to be implemented. B) Gang rapes have become like any other accident in our country. First they used to be the headlines with lots of media attention. Now that it has become so common, they appear on the Corner page of the newspaper. The electronic media too does not seem to follow such occurrences as they are not a hot topic any more. C) The garbage system is a mess, wherein there is no garbage collected by neither panchayat nor municipality, however one can avail to such services by paying a sub-contractor whose activity is assured by the panchayat.
Our Government needs first to improve our internal processes, and then only will foreign companies invest in our country. China too has a large population much more than ours, but in China there is huge foreign investment. Did their PM go around the world to strike deals? Countries will come to us if we are strong and capable.
Digital India can only be a success if we first have the complete knowledge of analogue India. Hitler too was a convincing leader, his public address were very impressive to the ear. Ultimately where did he lead his country to? A few weeks back someone wrote that our PM does not need dictation from others, well it was rightly noted as dictators don’t take dictation. Not forgetting the Ghar Wapsi program. I would be glad if this Ghar Wapsi was first implemented in Kashmir where in the Kashmiri pandits could be made to settle back to their homeland (this would be real Ghar Wapsi).
